They partnered with Corecom Tech Academy to build software testing capability in Leeds through ISTQB training over 12 months, including tailored training materials and flexible delivery approaches designed to support multiple cohorts.
Situation
NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) were looking for an academy partner that could deliver flexible ISTQB training over a 12-month period, while also creating tailored content aligned to their specific business needs. They required a partner capable of supporting multiple cohorts with relevant, industry-focused learning to help develop and qualify their teams in software testing capabilities.
Challenge
NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) recognised the importance of continuously developing its workforce to keep pace with evolving technology and industry demands. To support its existing teams, NHSBSA wanted to collaborate with an academy partner that could provide targeted skills development, enhance technical capabilities, and help bridge internal skills gaps while enabling employees to grow their expertise in a supportive and structured environment.
Our Solution and Approach
At Corecom Tech Academy, we partner with organisations to deliver tailored technical training that helps both new and existing teams build the skills needed to meet evolving business demands. Working closely with each client, our bespoke services align with their objectives, ensuring employees gain practical, industry-relevant knowledge that can be applied in their day-to-day roles.
Partnering with NHSBSA, we co-designed and delivered structured upskilling focused on enhancing the capabilities of their existing teams. Over a 12-month period, four cohorts completed ISTQB-tailored training, providing employees with industry-recognised testing knowledge and practical skills to support their continued development. In total, 22 employees were successfully upskilled and became ISTQB-certified – strengthening internal capability and helping NHSBSA address key skills gaps while supporting the long-term development and delivery of future projects.
