Meet Youssef: Building a future in Cloud and Data

At Corecom Tech Academy, we’re all about championing the next generation of tech talent. Today, we’re spotlighting one of our incredible Associate Consultants, Youssef, who’s carving an incredible journey into Software Engineering, Cloud, and Data.
Recently, we sat down with him to hear more about his early career journey with us, the support recieved, and where he’s heading next.
Tell us a bit more about your background in Tech
“Well, after completing a couple of bootcamps in Software Engineering / Cloud, and then Data Engineering, I joined a client project focused on Quality Engineering and the Cloud.”
What are your career aspirations and why?
“I aim to work more extensively with AWS in the future, particularly in DevOps and Data Engineering. These areas truly interest me, and I believe they will remain resilient against AI driven automation. Learning AWS benefits both my client and me: I gain valuable, future-proof skills that I can apply immediately to my current project.”
What kind of support have you recieved from the Academy team so far?
“The support from Corecom Tech Academy has been amazing! They’ve funded my certification exams and actively encourage continuous learning and development. They’ve also provided guidance on which certifications to pursue… and in what order!
My client also offers an online learning platform with free course enrolment and supports the use of available time for skill development. Overall, I feel well supported by both the Academy team and my client.”
Some say practice exams are just ‘studying to pass’ - but what’s your take?
“I get that, but for me, practice exams actually accelerate my learning and development. They help me understand the concepts behind each answer, not just memorise... and honestly? It works!”
... And what’s next for you?
“Next, I plan to pursue the AWS Developer – Associate certification. This is more focused on DevOps, CI/CD, and practical application, aligning closely with my longer-term career goals.”
